Added to low and medium pressure columns and media storage solutions, Kathon CG/ICP preservative eliminates the problem of microbial growth, reducing downtime and extending the lifetime of your media and chromatographic system. Kathon CG/ICP Preservative is a highly effective, broad-spectrum biocide with excellent compatibility and stability and low toxicity at in-use levels. At very low concentrations, Kathon CG/ICP Preservative eradicates bacteria, fungi, and yeast cells for prolonged periods. In most cases Kathon CG/ICP can be the preservative of choice for applications in which traditional antimicrobials, such as sodium azide or thimerosal have been use 1.5% total active ingredients in water with magnesium salts as a stabilizer. Kathon CG/ICP II has a lower concentration of Mg salts stabilizer than Kathon CG/ICP. Typical in-use concentrations are 6 - 15ppm active ingredient, or 0.4mL/liter of storage solution. *Restrictions of use: Kathon's CG/ICP active ingredients are 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one. Kathon Preservatives are intended for non-medical applications. They are available in North America only. Because of local/regional/national environmental regulations, sales of Kathon Preservative are restricted outside of North America. New customers are screened to make certain that the application is in compliance with environmental registrations in your country.
